Ava has worked with children, adults and families for more than 20 years. She believes most of us find ourselves overwhelmed or struggling at some time in life. During those times it can be helpful to talk to someone who is encouraging and understands life’s challenges. Therapy provides a private, safe place to better understand a particular situation and begin to make positive changes.
Special areas of interest include depression, anxiety, life transitions, parenting/co-parenting, perinatal mood/ anxiety disorders, and infant mental health. Ava is a strong believer in Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT).
